Policy

Rescheduling and cancellations

I understand that life occasionally demands schedule adjustments, so I’ve created equitable policies balancing flexibility with protecting my livelihood and ensuring other clients have fair access to my limited availability.

Advance cancellation

If you need to cancel more than 48 hours before our scheduled appointment, your deposit remains available for a future booking. The rescheduled session must be confirmed within 7 days of cancellation and take place no more than 60 days after your original date, allowing flexibility while maintaining reasonable timeframes.

Late cancellation

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before our appointment result in complete deposit forfeiture. This policy exists because last-minute cancellations prevent me from offering that time to other clients, creating lost income that cannot be recovered and affecting my ability to plan my schedule effectively.

No-show policy

Failing to arrive for our appointment without prior notice is treated as a no-show, resulting in forfeiture of all payments and potential restriction from future bookings. If you’re experiencing an emergency, please reach out to me as soon as possible rather than simply not appearing for our scheduled time.

If I cancel

I may need to cancel bookings due to illness, personal emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances beyond my control. When I initiate cancellations for reasons unrelated to client conduct, your deposit can be applied toward a new booking within 30 days. Alternatively, if preferred, I will refund your deposit in full.

Rescheduling

Each deposit can only be used for one rescheduling opportunity. If you need to cancel a rescheduled appointment, your deposit is forfeited regardless of notice timing. This policy prevents indefinite postponements that affect my ability to serve other clients effectively and maintain a functional schedule.

Emergency considerations

I understand that genuine emergencies occur and will consider individual circumstances with compassion when they arise. However, personal convenience, work commitments or illness are not considered emergencies for cancellation policy purposes and don’t qualify for deposit protection.

Weather and external factors

Severe weather, transport disruptions or other external factors don’t qualify for fee-free cancellations. I recommend planning buffer time for potential delays and considering these factors when booking appointments to ensure you can arrive on time.
